Alan E. Organ, M.D., Ph.D. is a retired physician who practiced Pediatrics in Overland Park, KS for over 25 years. He also taught medical students, nursing students, interns and residents from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and the University of Health Sciences School of Medicine. He was the Co-Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1979 - 1985.


Since retirement, he has lectured on Health and Wellness, Alternative Medicine and written numerous medical information web sites on Alternative Medicine and Nutrition. His research interests dealt with cell physiology and he presently writes about health and nutrition. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from UCLA, a Ph.D. degree in Biology (Physiology & Cellular Biology) from the University of Kansas, Lawrence and an M.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. His research in cell physiology, particularly osmosis, has been published in The Journal of Cell Biology, The Journal of Protozoology, Acta Protozoologica and The Kansas Archives of Medicine. He has been an editorial reviewer for The Journal of Cell Biology.


He also wrote The BabyDoc Project, a Pediatric Informational web site as well as helping to write a Medical Office Manager System (DrMOM) and a Laboratory Information System for his Pediatric Practice.
